Northwell Health invites you to stand side by side with our nation’s active-duty military, veterans and their families—as well as health care heroes—for our fourth annual Memorial Day weekend event. Amid all the excitement of Fleet Week, the two-day celebration kicks off May 28 with a free-admission block party in NYC’s Flatiron Plaza, hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro with a special DJ appearance by Questlove. The festivities continue May 29 with a benefit concert (including a tailgate party!) at UBS Arena with opener Jason Derulo and headliner John Legend. The concert will benefit Northwell’s Military Liaison Services—because we believe it’s an honor to serve those who serve us.
Don't miss the year’s best block party! Join us May 28 in NYC’s Flatiron Plaza from noon to 6pm. This free-admission special event will get the Side By Side party started, celebrating our nation’s heroes and the strength of New York City with fun-filled games, a food festival and musical guests, including a special DJ appearance by Questlove. You’ll feel the sense of community that only Fleet Week and Memorial Day weekend in the Big Apple can bring.

KEEPING OUR COMMITMENT
Since 2006, Northwell has been serving and supporting active-duty personnel, veterans and their families as a proud military-friendly employer. We provide medical care and behavioral health treatment for those struggling with PTSD, while also recruiting and assisting newly returned veterans trying to find a job and acclimate back into civilian life.
We hire hundreds of veterans a year, and over the past decade have awarded almost $2 million to employees who were mobilized and deployed overseas—funds that represent the difference between their military pay and the regular salaries they would have earned at their Northwell jobs.
This two-day celebration honors our country’s service members, but it also signifies Northwell’s commitment to our veterans for the other 363 days of the year.
